Farrier
We are happy for our clients own farriers to visit and shoe their horses at the ESC but where this is not possible our Farrier is Jamie Goddard.
Jamie Goddard Dip. WCF is our farrier for the Centre and is available by appointment.
He has a wealth of experience with race horses, all types of competition horses, pleasure horses and ponies.
Jamie believes that good shoeing is based on correct medial lateral balance and hoof pastern axis.
Good shoeing is vital for your horse to get the best from our hydrotherapy facilities.
Skilled trimming and shoeing are of the utmost importance in helping to avoid leg and back injuries and for improving a horse’s way of going.
Jamie is very experienced in caring for laminitis sufferers and has successfully aided many recoveries.
He will advise about the care of hooves between shoeing and suggest any treatments that would be beneficial.
